General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR)
The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), agreed upon by the European Parliament and Council in April 2016, is the primary law regulating how companies protect European Union (“EU”) citizens' personal data. Data Breach Notification
Under Article 31 of the GDPR, if there is a data breach, the Data Controller will notify any Supervising Authorities of the data breach within 72 hours of learning of the breach and must provide specific details of the breach as such the nature of it and the approximate number of Data Subjects.
